Milestones Exhibition at The Packhorse Gallery (Stories in Stone)

The Milestones Project currently have an exhibition throughout July at the Packhorse Gallery in Huddersfield and at Oakwell Hall in Birstall

20140707-182114-66074358.jpgThe exhibition is the culmination of months of work, which introduced students from Kirklees College to way marking and the importance of stone in our landscape and features wood carvings from West Riding Woodcarvers Association

20140707-182214-66134465.jpgThroughout July events are planned to coincide with the exhibitions, including stone carving demonstrations, dry stone walling, themed walks and even outings from Toll-keeper Meg and Highwayman, ‘Swift Nick’ Nevison

20140707-182455-66295565.jpgThe 23rd July sees a leisurely stroll start from the Packhorse Gallery at 2 pm, the walk will last about 1 hour, 30 minutes and will encourage you to ‘look up’ at the buildings of Huddersfield
